Original Metal Roofing is a detail-driven roofing practice focused on thoughtful execution and considered outcomes. We work across residential, architectural and commercial projects, collaborating closely with clients, builders and designers to deliver work that is precise, refined and built with care.
We approach each project with respect for the structure it belongs to - whether that means preserving the character of an existing home or elevating a new build through material choice and detail. From roofing to cladding, junctions to finishes, we look for opportunities to simplify, refine and occasionally create a quiet focal point.
Understanding that Metal while functional and durable, allows us small moments that give strength to a building, and help create its identity.

MATTHEW HANSON
Matt has spent over 23 years in roofing, starting on the South Coast as part of a small crew where focus was simple - learn the craft properly and do it well.
After moving to Sydney, he worked his way up into leading foreman roles with two of the city's top roofing companies, managing large commercial projects and developing a strong interest in architectural finished and fine detailing.
In 2018 he started Original Metal Roofing, wanting to build something that reflected the way he believes roofing should be done - carefully planned, efficiently executed, and finished with real attention to detail.
Today he still approaches every project the same way ; practical, considered, and tailored to the home or build it sits on.
